Precautions, Action & Response to the Coronavirus

As you would be aware, Australia is currently impacted by the spread of COVID-19. Although we haven’t been directly affected, we are taking all reasonable precautions to be safe and to ensure we continue to be of service to you.

Hear Check is taking practical steps to ensure that our staff, patients and our broader community are provided with a healthy environment.  We are asking all patients and staff not to enter the premises if experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath

  • For those having travelled to (including transit through) a country considered to pose a risk of Coronavirus transmission in the last 14 days

  • Those having had close contact with someone diagnosed or suspected of having Coronavirus

In addition,

  • Adults (who have an appointment) are advised NOT to bring their children/grandchildren with them to the appointment and to reschedule if necessary
  • Parents (who have an appointment for their child) are advised NOT to bring additional siblings or family members with them to the appointment, and to reschedule if necessary

We continue to ensure high hygiene standards with regard to medical devices and test equipment, including practicing proper hand sanitising procedures, cough etiquette and increased sanitation and cleaning of work spaces.

We are closely following advice received from Australian medical authorities, as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO), regarding precautions that are needed to minimise risks concerned with COVID-19.

For further information related to COVID-19 please refer to https://www.health.gov.au/

Hear Check are committed to the health and safety of our staff and patients.

Should you have any questions or enquiries please contact us on 07 5493 9001.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hearing Tests
Adults & Children

At Hear Check, we perform a comprehensive range of hearing assessments. Each test will look at a different part of your hearing system, pin-pointing where your hearing difficulty may lie within the auditory system.

Hearing tests are painless and involve determining and measuring what you can and cannot hear, across varying pitches. Results are plotted onto a graph called an audiogram, where we can tell you the degree (mild, moderate, severe, profound) and nature (which part of your system) of the hearing loss.

This graph can then be provided to your GP and/or specialist.

Hearing Aids
Adults & Children

Hear Check provides the most technologically advanced hearing aids, expertly prescribed and fitted to suit the individual’s hearing. Whether you’d like the most discreet hearing aid, the most easy to use hearing aid or the most technologically advanced hearing aid (linking directly to your phone or iPod), we will have a device to suit you. Hear Check will spend the time required to provide you with not only the best hearing aids available, but also the best service to support your hearing needs.

Hear Check is an independent supplier of hearing aids and will offer individualised care to ensure good outcomes. We do not fit hearing aids without obtaining expert knowledge about you, your hearing loss and the environments in which you may want to hear better.

Hear Check provides hearing aids through the Office of Hearing service program. Hear Check also can provide individualised and highly specialised services for clients wishing for a discreet and private health option. Feel free to ask us how this might work. We are also happy to answer questions about your hearing or hearing aids. We will endeavour to assist you with any enquiry.
